The 50th anniversary year has been a hectic and record-breaking sales year for Vallox, but also challenging. Our managing director Jukka-Pekka Korja summarizes the year of 2021 and also presents some wishes for 2022.
Dear Santa Claus,
I wish you nice Christmas time there in Korvatunturi. There’s probably been a busy time at the gift shop all year. I came to this conclusion because we have had a component shortage throughout the fall. There might be a fair amount of electronics in Santa’s gift bag, I guess.
Vallox has also had a busy year, particularly our production department has been in a great hurry. It is worth mentioning to you Santa, that all of us at Vallox have been very hardworking and kind! Working in production has been especially hard because our employees had to wear mask for almost a whole year. How have you managed there at Korvatunturi, or are the elves immune to this Covid virus?
In sales we have succeeded better than ever in Vallox’s history. We have tried to keep up with high demand and, until the very last few months, have succeeded well; the finished products have not had time to gather any dust on the warehouse shelves but were delivered to the customers as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, the component shortage crippling global supply chains has now begun to significantly hamper Vallox’s operations and production towards the end of the year.
I want to tell you Santa, that we are very grateful that our customers have been understanding in this situation, even though our delivery times have sometimes become unbearable.
Hopefully you have had time to follow our weekly Vallox 50-year anniversary stories, although they are certainly familiar to you. We have liked very much to convey these stories from the past years, greetings from our current staff as well as from our partners. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, we had to postpone the big celebration to next year. Would you have a solution to this pandemic in your gift bag?
Finally, as we are allowed make wishes to you dear Santa, we really, really wish that the component shortage would ease quickly so that we could produce and deliver all the customer orders.
