3. Which personal data do we process?

We process video material of persons and vehicles that move in Vallox Oy’s outdoor and loading areas that are covered by the video surveillance system, and in the process monitoring of the factory’s sheet metal machining equipment. The date and time of the recording is saved in connection to the video material.

4. How do we collect personal data?

Equipment has been installed in the areas controlled by the company to implement the video surveillance. The video surveillance is used to record and save videos of persons who move in the area that is covered by the video surveillance system. Signs are used to inform persons moving in the area of the video surveillance.

5. For which purpose is your personal data processed?

We process personal data to fulfil the statutory obligations and rights, as well as compelling purposes, of Vallox Oy in order to ensure the legal protection and security of the company’s employees, cooperation partners, and customers; to protect the data and property of the employer, employees, and customers; and to prevent and investigate criminal offences.

The information can also be used to support installation and servicing tasks.

6. To whom do we convey your personal data?

Data can be conveyed to superiors, external contact person, customers, and/or authorities (e.g., the police) to the extent that this is permitted and required by law.

Your personal data will not be transferred outside the EU or the European Economic Area.

7. Information security

Data will be stored in locked premises and it will only be processed by persons who need it in their work tasks. Video monitoring systems operate in a closed network. Access to the application has been restricted by means of user rights.

8. Storage period of data

We will store your personal data for only as long as is necessary to implement the purpose specified in this privacy notice, unless otherwise required by law. We do not store outdated or unnecessary data.

Video recordings will be stored until the video surveillance system records over it. This time period is, at most, 2 months. If the recording must be stored for the above purposes for a longer period, it will be stored for as long as necessary.

9. Rights of the data subject

The data subject has the right:

  • to view the personal data concerning themselves by contacting the controller or
  • to request that the controller corrects or deletes any incorrect or outdated data, and
  • to object to the processing of their personal data based on the grounds specified in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (this kind of objection can only concern existing video recordings), and
  • to submit a claim to the supervisory authority.

10. Automatic decision-making and profiling

The video surveillance does not include automatic decision-making or profiling.

11. Changes to this privacy notice

We develop our services constantly and reserve the right to make changes to this privacy notice by publishing a notification of this in our services. Changes may also need to be made due to changes in legislation. We recommend that you read the privacy notice regularly.
